Most men are social retards, while females are very articulate?

I've always been fascinated that most men can be so unbelievably clueless when it comes to dating. As a provider, you'd think that males would have a more sophisticated social awareness than females since in tribal societies it was the top hierarchy of males who chose which females he wanted to copulate with, whilst the beta males who had low social value were virtually pairless. It would seem that females are generally more socialized than men; they're hit on more often since it's socially condoned that females should be pedestalled (which is a lot of ****) so consequentially they'll have a greater social intuition. It still doesn't explain why for men living in these tribal societies where status (and still is) paramount in surviving in any form of social hierarchy that males would have the least developed social awareness. Why is this?
