Social work major?

what is a good state college or university to major in Social Work? I am planning to apply to Cal State Fullerton's Social Work major but I heard I won't go very far...Which colleges have a good social work program?

There is not really a great deal of difference between these schools and programs. At the MSW level there is some difference as schools like Berkley do have MSW and the CU's are better than the CSU's (I teach at a CSU and believe me there is a difference).

Reply:Cal State Fullerton doesn't have a Social Work program, they have a Human Services program which isn't they same thing.





Good social work progam? Any school that has a "social work" progam and is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education is a good program. Schools accreditd by the cswe are held to national standards and incorperate the vaules of social and economic justice throughout the course of study. You also have to go to an accredited school if you want to get licensed to practice social work. For more information check out www.cswe.org. Also check out your state's board for licensing social workers.
