"Social Reforms" vs. "Social Darwinism"?
Social Dawinism is the misapplication of Darwin's Theory of Evolution to society. The idea was the reason the rich were rich was because they were born better adapted to lead and make money and the poor were only born with the ability to do labor. Of course this was espoused by the rich.
Social reforms are reforms (mostly throiugh government intervention) that would make the society more fair and easier for the poor and middle class to survive and thrive.
