I went to my local social security office to try to apply to get my social security number, I have a work permit that I just received I am trying to adjust my immigration status, and the representative told me that I need it a current driver's license in the state of TN you can not get a driver's license without a social security card I tried to explain that I needed to get my social security in order to get my driver's license what can i do I need help thanks for all of your answers

Reply:I would call some one from social security. Because all you need is you I-94 and your passport with your visa inside as proof of ID with the social security office. Some people are hired for jobs that they are not qualified for and this representative sounds like one of them.
