Are there any social phobics who would like to chat on messenger? How do you handle each day?

I'd like to know how those of you with social phobia make it through each day? What helps keep you optimistic about change when you've lived with social anxiety so long? Have you began to feel things will never change? What has helped you? People with social anxiety are welcome to send me emails or hit me on messenger. I also have social anxiety. Nubi

Hence my dilemma on Guild Wars! I just can't bring myself to initiate conversation, even over the internet. But the more people talk to me the more I feel comfortable and eventually start talking without getting knots in my stomach. My sister took a social anxiety class and said it didn't really help but was nice to know there were others like her, and me. :P I'm gradually getting better as I get older, I can order my own food, and answer and make calls, chat...things I absolutely refused to do before but now there's just the whole stomach knots thing...better. :P Someday maybe all gone. ^_^
Reply:my days are different all the time. I try real hard "not to put myself in a situation such as bunches of people"
Reply:my daughter is very shy. i would considering counseling but at the same time- as a totally anonymous person in a chat room- i would practice saying outrageous things - these people don't know who you are- just play and have fun - be a mean person, be a nice person ect...try on different emotions
