Will social security cover me?

I have been recieving social security since my Father died. I am now 18 and I'm recieving social security because I am still in high school. I heard that social security will cover you as long as you are attending school. My question is will I still be recieving it while I attend college?

No, social security does not include college or any institution after high school. You either get it until your 19th birthday or until you graduate high school.
Reply:I think there is a time limit on how long you can be on it. as far as i know it will be reviewed to see if you we still get it. Please do not quote on this it is what i have heard


i do not know about the college part
Reply:When you graduate from high school your SS will stop. Social Security used to pay after graduation when someone was in college but that stopped in the mid 80's.
