Serious Social Security Question?

i need an answer ASAP about the displaying of a social security number, i need facts not guesses please. and serious answers please!!!!!!!





i was hurt at work and went to the ER, the Insurance company sent me a letter requestion permission to access my records, no problem normally, but they printed my full birth name, with my full social security in plain view of the clear slot in the envelope, the mail carrier around here sucks major balls and has mixed up our mail lots of times, this time included, my neighbor got this letter with my Social security number right in plain view.....





is there anything i can do legally? my identiy has been stolen before what do i do?

also talk to someone from the social security office


because if you identiy has been stolen before than


its in high risk right now with that letter
Reply:Your socialist security number is probably the worst kept secret on the planet anyway. Think about how many times you've voluntarily given the number out. Whenever you get a job you have to give it out. Whenever you open a bank account or get a loan you give it out. The DMV has it. You need it to get a passport. You've probably given it out to any schools you went to.





Now think about this.... not only have you given it out a couple hundred times in your lifetime, but anyone who works for that entity has it. I'm sure there are thousands of people that have access to it.
Reply:Contact the insurance company and let them know the problem with the way the number displays in the window.





You can check your credit report and with SS to see if your number is being used.
