1.Why do you think we write in Social Studies? (eg)what the point? Why might Social Studies demand that we can express ourselves in writing? Who are our Social Studies ancestors who wrote powerfully?)
2. What do u suppose are "good" writing in social studies? Is it the sam in english? math writing? science writing?
3. If you could write to one person in history, who would it be and what would you want to write to that person?
Writing in social studies???
1. Writing in social studies is very important, even if it doesn't seem like it. The point is that it helps us understand more about history, or about geography. Many poeple wrote about social studeis, like when they wrote the Declaration of Independence. When we write in social studies, we understand, we relate, and we learn better.
2. You should treat social studies just like another subject, like english. Write with passion, understanding, and excitement. Have fun, but make it educational and make it have quality.
3. I would write to a number of people. You could ask George Washington about the struggles of forming a new country. Ask Suasn B. Anthony why she fought so hard for women's rights. Ask Martin Luther King Jr. what he did to improve lives for African Americans. Lastly, ask Harriet Tubman how it felt to be a slave. There is so many.
